SAN ANTONIO -- The holiday season is weeks away, but one local group is ready to celebrate. Today, the Paseo del Rio Association announced their plans for the 2012 Ford Holiday River Parade.
This year's theme is "Lights and Sounds of the Season." Along with the theme, the floats will include light shows and live musical acts. Over 80,000 lights are expected, including laser and blinking lights.
Leading the parade will be new grand marshall Olympic Silver Medalist Jimmy Feigan. He is a graduate of Winston Churchill High School and recently won the silver medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics.
