SAN ANTONIO -  It already feels like summer, though it's still officially a few weeks away.

The summer heat can be dangerous for senior citizens -- especially if they don't have air conditioning.

It is why the City of San Antonio - along with several partners -  kicked off its 16th Annual Project Cool Fan Drive on Friday.

They are encouraging people to donate new 20-inch electric box fans at any fire station this summer -- except the one at the airport.

The fans will be donated to eligible seniors.

Seniors 60 and older can request a fan by calling the United Way Help Line at 2-1-1.

If the fans are for seniors over 60, then why do we see a bunch of young people in line getting the fans? They can't all be relatives.
