To some, Washington's ways are always about monkey business and now there's something to back that feeling up.
The National Institutes of Health has decided to stop using chimpanzees for medical research. There’s a not so small cost to making that decision. Right now, the NIH spends about $12 million a year on care for more than 700 retired monkeys at sanctuaries.
