SAN ANTONIO - Welcome to Harvard!

The Ivy League university, along with MIT, is opening lecture halls online and offering free online courses. They call the program “edX.” The institutions will provide five online courses this fall for engineering and humanities.

Instead of getting course credit, students will receive a certificate of mastery. The schools are doing this for research purposes and plan to examine how students learn.

A registration date is not set. The first set of courses will be announced in the summer and will begin in the fall 2012. Those interested are asked to monitor it online. Click here for more information...
