SAN ANTONIO - The City's Solid Waste Management Department (SWMD) will be collecting Christmas trees for free from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday at 20 drop-off locations across the city.
Before dropping off the trees, residents are asked to remove all objects such as lights, wire, tinsel, ornaments and nails.
Free mulch will also be available to residents at the various sites while supplies last.
The Bitters Brush Recycling Center and the Nelson Gardens Brush Recycling Center will also accept trees throughout the month of January during regular business hours.
