SAN ANTONIO -- If you need to obtain a police report or visit the fire department, you'll now have a new place to go. The San Antonio Police Department and the San Antonio Fire Department are moving some of their offices to a new location.
Today, the SAPD records unit started moving to their new home at 315 South Santa Rosa Avenue. Other offices included in the move are: fingerprinting, identification, youth services, public information office, homicide, special victims unit, SAPD administration, and SARIC (San Antonio Regional Intelligence Center). This new location is across the street from the SAPD headquarters on West Nueva Street.
SAFD is also calling 315 South Santa Rosa its new home. Starting Friday at noon, all administrative offices will close and will re-open early Tuesday morning. Their new public safety headquarters will include the Fire Chief's office and the EMS records division. All phone numbers will remain the same in the new building.
