I'd like to point out that this is great if you live in Seguin and need to go north. But to travel out of the way to get on a toll road to get to G-Town is really sorta dumb. You wanna burn some costly fuel so you can get to a road that will allow you to dump a tank before you reach your destination....I can see it. I am chalking this road up as a fail and I hope the private investors realize their mistake.

85mph is not the issue. Driving on iH10E with only 2 lanes to/from Seguin will become a deadly stretch. There's no regard to driver safety, hazmat...whats DOT, engineering and planners thinking.

Ok fine You can do 85 on this new road ..but how much time are ya gonna save when you've gotta stop every five mile to pay a toll.

Finally! An appropriate speed limit between San Antonio* and Austin! I'm absolutely happy. *Well, technically Seguin & Austin. Also, FDNY1983, just because you cannot handle 85 mph doesn't mean others cannot. How come Germans can drive 110 mph & Texans can't? Is there anything intrinsically different in our abilities? Le sigh. Anyone can be a good driver, just takes time, training & intelligence.

Kind of confusing, people everywhere drive the way they drive where they are I cannot see any connection. Some fast, some slow, some diligent, some careless. Kind of like saying there is something in the tap water that makes most people in San Antonio drive crazy where other cities filter out such impurities and have a much better driving population. I want some of what you are smoking, it must be pretty awesome. Driving period is not safe. I just hope they will keep the cops off the highway so 85 will actually mean 105.

Remember folks, just because it's legal doesn't mean its safe...and with the way folks drive around these here parts I don't trust folks going 30 MPH let alone 85 MPH. I shall definitely be staying off this road.
