SAN ANTONIO -- Heads up to those who frequently drive downtown! Several streets will have traffic lane closures throughout June so that a 30-inch sanitary sewer main can be built. The city of San Antonio released the following closures, which are subject to change depending on the weather.
César Chávez Boulevard from Santa Rosa Street to Flores Street-Complete closure of westbound lanes toward Interstate 35/10 : June 11 – 25, 2012
-Detour description: westbound César Chávez will use Flores, Nueva Street, and Santa Rosa to detour back to César Chávez.
-Detour description: northbound Santa Rosa will use César Chávez, Flores, and Nueva to detour back to Santa Rosa.
Santa Rosa from César Chávez to Nueva Street-Northbound lanes: June 11 – July 27, 2012 (beginning June 25, 2012, one northbound lane will be open each morning until 9 a.m.)
-Detour description: northbound Santa Rosa will use César Chávez, Flores, and Nueva to detour back to Santa Rosa.
Nueva Street from Santa Rosa to Laredo Street *-Complete closure of lanes: July 27 – August 13, 2012
*this closure will occur in sections moving east from Santa Rosa to Laredo
