Whataburger has filed a lawsuit against debt collection agency NCO.
In the lawsuit, Whataburger claims NCO repeatedly placed calls to Whataburger's dedicated customer relations phone line in an attempt to collect a consumer debt from an undisclosed Whataburger employee. Whataburger claims to have demanded NCO immediately stop the calls, also sending a "cease and desist letter" to NCO giving NCO notice that the calls were an "unacceptable debt collection practice." But the lawsuit states NCO continued to call Whataburger in an effort to collect a debt.
