SAN ANTONIO -- The Texas Department of Public Safety recently launched a new section of its website to focus on solving cold case murder investigations throughout Texas.
The goal of the web page is to shine a new light on the crimes, by putting the cases back in the public eye.
Currently the website features 68 cases, dating back to 1968.
Two of the Top 12 unsolved Cold Case investigations feature the case of Heidi Seeman and Olga Alicia Paz, a mother of two from Seguin.
The Heidi Seeman case is one of the most imfamous unsolved murder cases in San Antonio history. Heidi was eleven when she was abducted more than twenty years ago while walking home from a sleepover.
Olga Alicia Paz, 31, was brutally stabbed back in March of 2010. The wife and mother of two was last seen alive in her Seguin home.
Other local homicide victims on the website include 36-year-old Beth Hicks. Hicks was found beaten to death back in June of 2004, outside her home in Boerne.
Heather Willms, 21, was found stabbed at her apartment in Leon Valley in February of 2005.
The Texas Rangers hope putting these cold cases back in the public eye will bring new information or leads than can be investigated.
