SAN ANTONIO -- Coach Ken Carter from the hit movie "Coach Carter" will visit San Antonio, Friday, February 1, 2013 and give a keynote address entitled "Educating Takes a Team" at 7:00 pm in the Live Oak Civic Center located at 8101 Pat Booker Rd.
Proceeds from the event will benefit Sistas in Business Read & Lead Program. The Read and Lead Program is a literacy program for elementary school students. Students go out once a month to read to seniors in nursing homes, read to the wounded warriors at the Fisher House, to read to customers restaurants, small businesses, retail stores; the public library and more.
Read & Lead is a member of the Literacy Coalition and works on projects in conjunction with Literacy San Antonio and SA Read.
