The Alameda Theater in San Antonio was founded in 1949, but the city wants to bring modern touches to the venue.
Today, they proposed a capital campaign and renovation project for the theater.

San Antonio's Proposed Capital Campaign:Phase 1:
Demolition of old stage house and construction of new stage house and production building.
Secured Funds: $6,000,000.00
Phase 2:
Construction of the theater's new intermission/lobby, complete with concession bar and street level restrooms.
Secured Funds: $1,100,000.00
Total Secured: $7,100,000.00Phase 3:
Complete the stage house and production to create a fully fuctional stage house.
Unsecured Funds: $4,500,000.00
Phase 4:
Complete restoration of the auditorium murals, restoration of seating in a new configuration utilizing the historic seat ends and modern seat construction. This phase includes renovating the concession areas and restrooms in the historic theater area.
Unsecured Funds: $7,000,000.00
Phase 5:
Complete installation of all stage lighting, soft goods, and digital sound. Complete restoration of theater lobby, mezzanine, and basement area.
Unsecured Funds: $3,000,000.00
Total Unsecured: $14,500,000.00
Grand Total: $21,600,000.00
