SAN ANTONIO- Now one group is using its holiday tradition to help victims of Hurricane Sandy.
The Salvation Army officially kicked off its 2012 Red Kettle Campaign over the Thanksgiving Holiday. The campaign is in its 122- year tradition of ringing bells to raise money for those the Salvation Army helps year round on a daily basis.
Bell ringers can be seen at various stores throughout the nation and in San Antonio, Including Wal-Mart, Macy's, Sam’s Club, and JC Penney stores.
You can also ring a virtual red kettle bell. Donations can be made on-line or even on your cell phone via text. If you would like more information on how to donate on-line visit the Salvation Army website at salvationarmyusa.org
