SAN ANTONIO -- Michael Guajardo says he's lived in his northwest side neighborhood for six years and it's getting worse.

"I've never seen it this bad," said Guajardo.

Guajardo lives off the 7100 block of Oak Lawn near Fredericksburg Road. He says people speed down his curved street and at night it's really dark.

"There's only one light that lights up this street right here," added Guajardo.

Recently, a driver crashed into a fire hydrant down Oak Lawn.

"The car just came and knocked it off and it ended up somewhere in that area over there," said Guajardo.

There was another recent accident near Guajardo's street on Fredericksburg Road, where a driver knocked down several utility lines and a street light.

Guajardo says his father was jay walking, but he adds something still needs to be done.

"Maybe some caution lights, a slow down sign, a cross walk, " added Guajardo.

The city tells News 4 WOAI public works crews will investigate the issue and see what can be done.

San Antonio Water System tells us the missing fire hydrant on Oak Lawn street will be replaced in one or two days.

Meanwhile, CPS Energy crews were on Fredericksburg road Thursday night cleaning up some of the wreckage from the accident.
