SAN ANTONIO -- CPS Energy will conduct its semi-annual test of its emergency alert system on Thursday.
The system notifies customers of major or system-wide outages, or energy emergencies.
Customers can choose to receive the alerts via e-mail, phone, or text message. You can also elect to opt out of the system. But if you do, you will not receive notifications should an emergency occur.
