SAN ANTONIO - It turns out the customer is not always right. That's the idea behind a new website aimed at warning businesses about bad customers. Think of it as the Better Business Bureau for businesses. It's called Business Beware, an online forum for businesses to warn of customers who always want something for nothing or don't pay their bills.
"Cust-o-monsters, as we affectionately call them, are people that literally go from business to business to business, and they are never satisfied. They are always wanting something free, which actually costs the consumer in the long run because the good consumers have to pay for the cust-o-monsters,” explains Robert Bodi from Business Beware.
Once a member of the website, the businesses can send a warning letter to customers who are slow to pay their bills without having to pay a collection agency. The letter warns them if they don't pay, their name will go up on the website.
