Bicycle ride to honor couple killed in accident

BOERNE, Texas -- There was an 'Honor Guard Bicycle Ride' to honor and show support for a couple who were killed in an accident.

Alexandra and Greg Bruehler were struck and killed last week while riding their tandem bike on the shoulder of Bandera Road, north of Helotes. Bexar County deputies say the driver who hit them was apparently distracted and veered off the road. The couple left behind a 7-year-old daughter, Kylie.

A memorial service for Alexandra and Greg Bruehler is set for 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at St. John Lutheran Church in Boerne. Cyclists plan to hold a memorial ride prior to the funeral service. They will gather at the Boerne City Hall at 5:45 p.m. and will ride from there to the church.
