SAN ANTONIO -- The cycling community is coming together to help one of their own, cyclist Monica Caban. She was injured last Tuesday while riding her bicycle along Interstate 10 near Fair Oaks. Caban remains in the hospital with a severe spinal cord injury.

This Sunday, organizers will host the "Can You See Me Now" ride to raise money for Caban's medical expenses and to also promote bike safety. The event starts at 8 a.m. at the San Antonio Shrine Auditorium off Loop 1604 and will end at Interstate 10 near Scenic Loop Road, where Caban was injured. Police officers will be on hand to escort cyclists along the ride.
