SAN ANTONIO -- While many of you may be making a shopping list of the turkey and all the trimmings, others are wondering how they are going to do the same.

For many families, there simply is not the budget to celebrate with all that food this year. But, there is a way you can help needy families have a great Thanksgiving. Saturday is the Holiday Turkey Round-Up at four Security Service Federal Credit Unions.

It is Saturday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. All you do is buy a frozen turkey or two and drop it off at the refrigerated trucks parked at the Security Service Center on U.S. 281, at The Rim, at Loop 410 and Rigsby, and the one on SW Military.

So, far, almost a half a million pounds of food has been donated to the San Antonio Food Bank this month.

You can drop off any non-perishable food items at any of the many Security Service Federal Credit Unions through the end of the month.
