UPDATED - with extended clips from interviews with MSgt. William Conner and Lt. Col. Carl Alvarez
EL PASO, Texas - The Texas Air National Guard 149th Fighter Wing is based in San Antonio. But a GSU (Geographically Separated Unit) of that Fighter Wing is based at Fort Bliss in El Paso and helps train military snipers in the desert of New Mexico. That 204th Security Forces Squadron also trains its own members on the automatic machine gun that fires 40 millimeter grenades.

Special thanks to William Conner and Lt. Col. Carl Alvarez and everyone in the 204th and 149th.
