SAN ANTONIO -- He's a legendary rock-and-roller, pro-gun rights activist with his own hunting television show, and a hardcore political guy.

What you may not know is that former "Motor City Madman" Ted Nugent is now a Texan. I got the chance to hang with him at a hunting ranch near Carrizo Springs. I had no idea what to expect, but it was definitely memorable.

Don't Miss It: 'Uncle Ted' has got more to say

Ted had lots to say about just about everything, and it was, as Ted himself called it, "TV Gold."

Friday (tonight) at 6:30 p.m., you'll hear how serious he is about earning your own keep, his love for Texas, and what he thinks it will take to get me to strip.

Then at 10:00 p.m., he shares with me how intimate of a decision it would be to jump into politics himself, and who he'd make that decision with.

You don't reach this age and not have made a few mistakes. Look at all the movie stars that screw up their lives and low and behold they you folks out there put them on a pedestal. So give Ted a break for trying to do the right thing now.

Had three children out of wedlock and did not care for two of them, taken to court for not providing sufficient child support and trying to enter a relationship with a 17 year old...Isn't that statutory rape? TEDDY...YOU PIG...You have a moral obligation as a role model to provide for those children you fathered and to pay the proper child support. Moreover you know better than to not prey on a minor. After all you were 30 when you wanted to do this, supposedly an adult. You need to tell Mr. Mouth to tell Mr. Brain to wake up before you talk about morality publicly. Hopefully WOAI will have the courage to give us the same chance to comment like it gave you and not delete this.

Shame on you news director. Randy Beamer doesn't have enough sense to know what's news and what's not but Nugent" REALLY! What qualifies this old drugged out has been to be granted airtime is beyond any sphere of logic. Get it together and lets see something worth my time watching.

Decency comes in many forms. Some people are just (far) more intense than others. Haven't seen the in interview yet, but I respect the 'hard core' of Ted Nugent. We need fanatics for righteous individualism, to offset the Jacksons and Sharptons of the world, who think the world owes them something, and have a lot of success destroying the attitudes of what would otherwise be decent working citizens.

He' the white Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson. Beamer has allowed his status to go to his head. WOAI, you just goofed. Get back to reality. And that goes for the chatter heads, the brunette and the blond.
