SAN ANTONIO - Elizabeth Rosenblum started something a few years ago that sounds like a joke to some people. But it's helping to change lives.

Street2Feet is a running/walking group made up of homeless people. Dozens of them. They're staying at the City of San Antonio's Haven for Hope campus just northwest of Downtown as they get all kinds of help trying to turn their lives around.

And exercise - especially running - helps do that.

Elizabeth Rosenblum has seen it. She started Street2Feet, which is held its 3rd Annual Toyota Texas Street2Feet run Saturday.

For her efforts, Elizabeth was presented the Jefferson Award by 4 WOAI General Manager Jackie Rutledge.

Check out extended interview with Navarra Williams of San Antonio Metropolitan Ministries here. Also includes an extended clip with runner Philip Bogochow, who has gone from homeless to getting his certificate as a personal trainer - through the Street2Feet program.

The Street2Feet 5k helped raise thousands of dollars for San Antonio Metropolitan Ministries and Street2Feet. Check out extended clips below of interviews with Elizabeth and several of San Antonio's homeless runners.
