sraspurs20: Your comment doesn't make any sense. The city of Wincrest actually ripped off Rackspace and overcharged them for the space. Please do our research before making claims of this sort. i have posted some material for you to read below. Article: http://www.mysanantonio.com/business/article/Rackspace-trial-is-postponed-2451476.php Jim3741: There are plenty of people who work at Rackspace without a masters degree or even a bachelors degree. They are looking for people who are extremely hard working and do so with a passion. This is fairly easy to figure out by your resume and the interview process. I wish you the best!

sraspurs: Your statement is very confusing. I know that Rackspace was overcharged for the property they purchased in which case lead to a lawsuit against the city. Have you really read up on this or did you just say what someone told you? Jim3741: There are plenty of people who work there without any kind of college degree. They are looking for passionate people who have the experience to be successful in that position. They actually do hire people who are less qualified that have a positive and can do attitude, and they can seek this out fairly easily in the interview process.

I have done a presentation for employees of Rackspace in the past before they moved to their current location on Walzem Road and was very inpressed by the synergy of the entire organization. The entire organization appeared to be very caring and compassionate from the CEO to the staff. I worked for Child Protective Services for three and a half years, which was the polar opposite. At CPS you are a number ona spread sheet. CPS should send their management to Rackspace to learn how to manage people and not just crunch numbers. Great job Rackspace!

I might agree Rackspace would be a nice place to work. Unfortunately I don't know anyone who works there that doesn't have a Master's Degree. You would think in a company that is supposed to be so fun to work at they would at least notify applicants they reviewed the application and choose a different applicant for interview but with them you fill out an application and you don't hear anything back unless you are selected for Interview. I actually set them up once. I filled out two applications with the same information all the way up to the point of the education for the same position. On one I put the education level at Associates Degree and on the other I put the Education at Masters Degree. Yes, I got a call back for further information on the Master Degree application, which I obviously declined. But tell me, why in the world would someone with a Master Degree be needed for a help Desk Position. First off the position would never pay enough to cover student loans for that level of degree so why would a Master Degree individual actually apply? Apparently they do or that wouldn't continue. Does this happen all the time, Possibly not but at this point I find their open position postings to be misleading. I was warned ahead of time not to bother applying unless I had a Masters but the announcements they post don't indicate that requirement.
