Medal of Honor Recipient Dakota Meyer was a highlight of the Hiring Our Heroes Military Job Fair at the AT&T Center Thursday.
Meyer talked with fellow veterans about the importance of working hard and showing employers the same values and attitude that made them successful with the military.

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce started these Hiring Our Heroes Job Fairs a little over a year ago. Partners include NBC and Toyota.

And the job fair in San Antonio turned out to be one of their biggest. More than a thousand job-seekers showing up to talk with several dozen potential employers, including some of the co-sponsors of the job fair, such as Toyota, USAA, and Walmart/Sam's Club.

Check out the clip with News 4 WOAI's Randy Beamer talking with Meyer, Laura Dempsey of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Robert Brown of Walmart/Sam's Club, Mario Losoya of Toyota, MSgt. Tim Eichman, who's about to retire from the Air Force and Luis Ayala, who is also leaving the Air Force soon.

Check out some of the challenges they face and the advice they have for you. And check out some of the links to find job opportunities.
