Here's a letter about it from one of their officials.
On March 2, 2013 the San Antonio Aggie Moms’ Club will host the Texas Freedom Scholarship Gala at the San Pedro Village Events Center to benefit the Scholarship fund for local students attending Texas A&M University. This will be a fun filled evening with dinner, dancing to music by the Mo-Dels, and a silent auction. We are counting on your support to make this event a success!
The San Antonio Aggies Moms’ Club was formed in 1926 and is a member of the Federation of Texas A&M University Mothers’ Clubs. Our club is considered a Legacy Society because we have contributed over $300,000 for scholarships and other student activities. For the past 80 years, the San Antonio Aggie Moms’ Club has been dedicated to providing local Aggies an opportunity to obtain scholarships to Texas A&M University. Through our various fundraisers and events, our club has raised approximately $25,000 annually to fund scholarships for deserving local A&M students. Funding these scholarships is a major purpose of our club.
We know you are asked to contribute to many worthy causes. We appreciate your consideration in supporting this event with a Business Sponsorship, item or service, monetary donation, or attendance at the event. The Sponsorships are a great way to promote your business to parents of college bound students. We will recognize your business in our newsletter on our website, at the event, and at our meetings.
The Texas A&M students and parents appreciate your consideration and thank you in advance for your support.
Sincerely,
Katy Gawlik
