Wanted for murder: Hector Turrubiate

In early December 2006 police say Hector Turrubiate was fighting with a man over money at the Happy Hut bar on West Avenue.

Witnesses told police Turrubiate and the man, Victor Guevara, started pushing each other. That is when they say Turrubiate pulled a gun and shot at Guevara at least three times.

A bullet hit Guevara in the neck as he tried to get away. He died just outside the back door.

Turrubiate was overheard calling someone to pick him up and he hasn't been seen since.

He may have been taken to his last known address in the 500 block of Mahota on the far West Side near Hunt Lane and Highway 90.
