People are getting a potentially deadly infection from an unexpected place - the family pet.

Researchers say they are seeing more and more cases of dogs and cats with MRSA. The staph infection is resistant to many antibiotics. Animals are getting it from their owners and then transmitting it back to them through bites.

Doctors recommend treating even minor dog and cat bites immediately.
