SAN ANTONIO - News 4 WOAI has teamed up with Goodwill to help students get a healthy start on back to school.

During the week starting Monday, August 16th, we will help San Antonio families with everything they need to get ready to go back-to-school at the Goodwill store at 3401 Fredericksburg Road at Vance Jackson from 2-7pm daily. The week-long health fair will offer low-cost immunizations on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. You must call ahead and make an appointment. Call 210.358.5100.

On Tuesday and Thursday children’s physicals will be available without appointment. Each day during this event, a variety of other services will also be available, including nutritional information, health and dental screenings, and much more. Other offerings include classes on health education, flu prevention, healthy cooking, and exercise for the whole family, including Tai Chi and Zumba.

Goodwill shoppers in San Antonio, Seguin, New Braunfels or Laredo can register to win a free iPad until August 29. Drawing for the winner will be in early September.

For more information call 210.924.8581 or go to GoodwillSA.org.

Instead of an iPad.. how about something they can REALLY use? A home computer for the entire family. If they REALLY want to see people get their immunizations.. offer something that appeals to the parents.. like a year's worth of free electricity. Take it out of the travel fund for the CPS managers. They can do their retreats at Goodwill!

You should only have an iPad if you can afford it. You think the people will be complaining that it doesn't come with free apps too? I have $600 of apps on mine. Added them up.
