We used to watch Bat Masterson on TV in the days of yore, but he never did any of that stuff... at least not on camera.

I saw a bat masturbating in the refrigerated aisle at HEB, it seemed to be excited about the yogurt for some reason. It had grabbed hold of one of those little shiny cones of yogurt and was sliding up and down along side it, and it was nasty because it had pierced the tin foil on top and was sucking out the yogurt and making these squeaky noises and there was bat sperm dribbling down the side, I don't know who would want to buy that kind of slimey thing. At least they don't attack the glass jars of pickles in the cheese section. I do know from the CDC that they can't get into canned foods, but the baby bats can infect the cartons of cereal with rabies, like Count Chocula, so Chef Boyardee is a lot better.

As it is Charles Barkley says Manu is the best player in NBA so Manu should be playing next to Kobe aiming for a championship he would be getting more millions and reconized more if he doesn't think it is a big deal about a bat he must be Batman.

Apparently the bat is alive and kicking in Carlsbad, NM. http://caramccain.com/blog/?p=21

That is a dumb question will this stop people from touching bats? obviously Americans are nothing like other countries like Manu said to him it was "no big deal". Argentina and other countries are probably laughing at us.

If the media makes a big deal out of someone touching a bat then you cannot trust them for other stories. Apparently to them this is a huge deal, worthy of several stories, airtime, a poll being created etc.

Well, I think it's a good question, and good questions are rare. I would be inclined to think that any contact with a bat and an open wound would be the limit, so if a bat flies into your hair and you don't have open lesions on your scalp afterward it is probably okay. But if you insist on being silly, how many words can you think of that have bat in them? Off the top of my head I came up with bath, debating, Sabbath, and batter, but I would bet that there are many more. Mike, can you think of some of them and use them in a sentence? A friend of mine puts up bat boxes under the eaves of his roof hoping that they will eat insects flying around his garden. They are about the size of a shoebox, hung vertically with a two inch slit at the bottom.
