SAN ANTONIO - This week in The Garage we’ve got some south side punk and soul with Lord Harvey.
Click here to watch…It’s an all-star lineup of San Antonio musicians. Singer Harvey McLaughlin is also in The Sandworms and used to be in Uptown Creepers. Drummer Danny Diebert used to play with Cavecat Sammy, and bassist Claytron DollaBill has been playing with numerous other groups.
“It’s bizarre because what we don’t have in common musically, we do have other things in common,” Harvey explained. “For example – bad 80s action movies. I don’t think we have a practice that goes by without “Total Recall” or “Tango and Cash” – or something similar playing ion the background.”
But how do these style mesh?
“We bring our own kind of style – or own appreciation of different genres to the table. Clayton’s a big country and western fan. Danny loves the hip hop and R&B. And me – I’m just a good old fashioned punk kid,” said Harvey. “We get it all going in a nice cauldron of rock and roll.”
