SAN ANTONIO - First time I heard One Action I started to "drop it like it's hot!" Not really... but these guys have their over 1,000 Facebook fans bouncing to their suburban blend of rock and rap. This San Antonio band dropped by the Garage to holler at us about their new EP and fill us in on what to expect from them this summer. Click here to watch...

For fans of Weezer and Green Day, these boys jokingly describe their sound as a mash-up of Fergie and Jesus.

While hip-hop and rock isn't the norm in San Antonio, front man Matt says that it came naturally to him.

“There was never a desire to do that. I just write music. Stuff appears in my head and I put it out on guitar,” Matt explains.

One Action recently completed their new EP "Change All You Are" during a 3-day recording session in Austin. They performed two of the tracks in the Garage, including “Golden,” a tune about trying to survive in today’s chaotic world. The lead track “One Action” was an obvious fit for the name of the group and instantly clicked with the band.

Their style of music is not the only way the guys choose to express their creativity. Their color-coded wardrobe brings a special boost of fun to their live shows, with each band member decked out in colored ties and accessories.

“People should come out to our shows because we rock. The TV only translates so much of our rock. You need to see us live,” explains bassist Jeffry Viera.

Check out One Action as the hit the stage on July 7th at Sideliners Grill at 12:30am (15630 Henderson Pass). The event benefiting Spina Bifida TX is only 10 dollars and includes a meal.

The new EP “Change All You Are” is now available on iTunes. It is also available for streaming on the band's Facebook page
