SAN ANTONIO – This week in The Garage we get a little Tex-Mex with Mitch Webb and the Swindles. Mitch describes it as “a mixture blues, country and rock ‘n’ Roll with some classic conjunto wrapped in one big enchilada.”

“We started off when me and Joe were living next door to each other. It was just a natural, organic thing,” explained Mitch. “It’s been a long, fun ride.”
It’s an all-star line-up with some of San Antonio’s finest musicians.
“The guys are fantastic. Joe’s a Grammy winner. Dave’s a classic bluesman. Odie’s a wonderful player. He’s been around forever,” said Mitch. “Everybody in this band knows what we’re going to do on a dime. So we can change things up in an evening real quick.”
A mark of the Swindles recorded music is its authenticity.
“We’re from San Antonio,” explained Mitch. “What can you say? It’s just a mixture. What comes out, comes out. That’s what we’re all about.”
Fiesta Trivia from Mitch: According to Texas legend,
Moses Rose was the only man who chose to leave the Alamo. When Travis drew a line in the sand and asked the defenders to cross over it, all did -- except Rose.
