SAN ANTONIO - We took a little road trip down to Edit Point studios to meet up with The Three Bad Jacks who are in town from LA. The band is in town promoting their new album "Pictures and Memories from Home." If you like them, you can catch these guys at their CD release party this Saturday, August 6 at Limelight.

Are you in a band or know of somebody here in San Antonio that should spend some time in our garage? Please let me know! Email me: ChristinaRodriguez@woaitv.com.

To metalmegs: No mixtapes sent. How about well recorded, Grammy produced local music? No Jealousy needed, especially given most of the music on this "show". I was suggesting a little fairness given to local bands that have been together for more than three weeks or some band that can't find San Antonio on a map. There is a music snob'ness in this town shown by the self appointed music "experts". All you need to do is read the SA Current, The Edge, The Backbeat, Express News, etc, etc. If a band wears some weird costume or are "real" musicians because they won't play covers, they are glorified by these "experts". Bands that can play a whole 4 hour cover show one night, play an acoustic show the next night, and then open for a national touring band the next night with 15 of their own songs are somehow not worth covering because they are not "real" musicians? I know this is hard for you to understand but The Garage is part of Christina's JOB. At my work, if I ask for something from someone (like "Tell me about a band I should cover") and someone gives me that info, part of my JOB would be to be courteous and at least reply and thank them for giving me something I ASKED FOR. You take something as simple as asking for fairness and common courtesy and you turn it anti-Perry political statement. I’m sorry that this is all too much for you to understand.

So, a band from LA gets featured on "The Garage". I guess San Antonio doesn't have enough "good" bands to feature. Actually, I personally know many bands that have sent Christina and WOAI their information and she doesn't even give the courtesy of replying to them, let alone considering them for a feature. San Antonio has many great bands, even bands that tour nationally and/or opened for national acts. All anyone needs to do is get out and see these bands perform to know we actually have a music scene in our own city. Looking at who is "featured" in The Garage, a band can only play occasionally (once or twice a month at best), never played a cover (ever, even if they also write their own music), and must meet the definition of a "garage band". Forget about actually featuring professional bands, with professional musicians (you know, the guys and gals that actually make a living playing music). Thanks Christina and WOAI for "supporting" local music.

I had never heard of this group. Evidently MSN/WOAI felt they were so important that they have appeared as "local news" since Friday. Not being of any interest to myself, I avoided reading the article until this morning-out of boredom. When there are only two comments posted (now three) in 36 hours one would think that it's time for WOAI to find some real news. This band is not news nor is it newsworthy. It is a promotion/commercial/lengthy advert. Get real WOAI this is boring and the band need not apply for X Factor. Simon Cowell would tell them in no uncertain terms that they have little talent. And I agree with Das Firespawn. The singer seems to be full of himself.

The singer seems like a jerk off.
