Question: I have an analog DVD recorder. I also have Cable TV with a DVR. Will the DVD recorder require a converter or will the cable service be all that's needed? I think we just need the cable.

Answer: It depends -- if your DVD recorder is hooked up to your cable and you can tune into cable channels with your DVD recorder, then, YES, you are good to go. If your DVD recorder is hooked up to your Cable TV with DVR, then, YES, you are good to go. If your DVD recorder is hooked up to an external antenna and you are recording "Off-air" broadcasts, then “NO” you are not good to go and will need a converter box.
