Here's an update to my
Free Starbucks post. Thank you to "Talk Talk Talk" reader NaCole for pointing this out.
It seems Starbucks is halting its plan to give voters free coffee today. It turns out that offering "gifts" constitutes a felony under election law in many states. So Starbucks retracted their ads and is instead giving a free cup of brewed tall coffee to anyone who asks today; whether they voted or not, and from the looks of the long voting lines I've seen today a tall cup of caffeine may come in handy when waiting in line to vote. So if you are thirsty for a free cup of coffee today, stop by Starbucks and get a cup. Side Note from other emails I have received: both Krispy Kreme and Chick-Fil-A are giving away free goodies as well. Anyone hear of any other places? Let us know.
Happy Election Day!
