This image has an old sepia feel to it yet as the photographer says it was taken with a modern digital SLR. In the photographer’s words:
“This picture was taken at a Planetshakers (Christian band) concert in Houston. It's an amazing photo to me due to the stage smoke and the stage lighting; you can see a cross form right above the singer. This was done by setting the exposure just right to capture the available light and using flash to fill in the subject which otherwise would have been extremely dark. I also love the overall look and feel the picture takes on after my post processing. The picture resembles that of an old film camera due to the heavy grain.”
Besides the technical effects that the photographer used he forgot to mention that this photograph is also about waiting for the right moment for the light and the people to all line up for that perfect moment.
