Beautiful shapes and brilliant colors help to make this a stunning image. The way the photographer placed the subject to the right of the image creates a nice sense of space. The brilliant red gives a great backdrop to the monarch butterfly accentuating its shape and the patterns in its wings. Also the slightly out of focus background makes the subject look even sharper.
