Photo of the Day: Dung Beetle

If you want to get a good image you need to get closer! I have said it before and I say it again. Plus you have to be willing to photograph subjects that are not on the typical list of beautiful things. But actually this dung beetle is quite beautiful if you look closely. And he seems very industrious. This photographer did a great job of looking for the small beauties in the world something we should all do more. Great job! Just wanted to invite you all to an opening reception on Sunday September 19th for the photographic exhibition Diverse Cultures / One Land, a FOTOSEPTIEMBRE USA 2010 Signature Exhibit. Artists: NANCY CAVENDER-GARCIA, ROBERT GARCIA, JENN IFER MARTIN, WHITNEY SMITH Collaborative Site-Specific Photographic Installation Coordinated by Penelope Boyer | Digital composites by Michael Mehl Opening reception: Sunday, September 19, 4 - 6 pm | Installation on display: Permanent after September 19, 2010 Location: Land Heritage Institute, 1349 Neal Road, San Antonio, TX 78264 (Between Applewhite & Pleasanton Roads in South Bexar County) www.landheritageinstitute.org Viewing hours: Second Saturdays starting September 2010 | And by appointment Contact: Penelope Boyer (210) 224-2518 | penelope.boyer@gmail.com Presented by Land Heritage Institute with a grant from the City Of San Antonio Office Of Cultural Affairs Would you like to submit a photo?
