I'm a big fan of reading and always talking about reading to your kids as soon as possible. The Little Learners line is a really cool line to kick start literacy with your babies. For ages 6 months and up, these books introduce tiny tots to basic concepts like: colors, animals, first words, numbers, feelings and more.

Some of the books are sturdy, others are soft and foamy. They are also interactive, featuring finger puppets, touch and feel panels and pull out pictures. You have a whole set of great educational options for you and your little one, and some guaranteed quality time with Mom and Dad.  Prices range from $6 to $10 at http://www.parragon.com/us/books/category/kids/little-learners.
