Discuss: Is Michelle Obama Jealous of Sarah Palin?

Michelle Obama is now giving advice on how to vote in the presidential election. If the advice was based on the issues, that would be one thing. But her opinion is as hypocritical as they come (in the usual Obama style).

Michelle Obama has asked voters to make their choice for president based on the issues, not because "I like that guy" or "She's cute."

The "She's cute" comment is about Governor Sarah Palin. Michelle will tell you she made the comment about herself, but I don't believe her. It's obvious from the context of her comments that she was condescendingly referring to Palin.

Why is Michelle Obama focusing on Governor Palin's looks? Why not focus on the issues? Truth be told, Michelle can't compete in either category. Maybe Michelle is jealous?

This woman tells black voters to vote for her husband because he is bi-racial, then turns around and asks America not to vote for McCain/Palin because the Governor is cute. What is wrong with this picture? Do you feel it's wrong to bring it up? Where are the issues?

This crude, out of line comment came at a women's round-table discussion on the economy. Democrats are working to minimize the impact of the selection of Governor Palin on the female electorate. This was a sexist remark, and just like Barack's 'lipstick on a pig' comment, this will come back to bite them in the rear end.

Here in the "No Bull Zone" I would like to know what you think about this offensive comment? Why did the women present give her a big round of applause? I know I would boo and walk out on a person who could not stick to the issues and stay on topic. Why do women stand for this kind of behavior? Is it because she is woman? Double standard? Hypocritical? Low standards? Low Morals?

No PC and tell it like it is.

"People in need" does not equate "taking care of business." What you are asking for is redistribution of wealth and capital. While we're working on this, we should also abolish private ownership of all property and the means of production so that the government (which managed Sallie and Freddie so well) can ensure that we get cheap gasoline and fuel efficient cars today!

Poor MO, she got into school on affirmative action, not brains. Read her thesis...she hates whitey, period. As for Sarah Palin, YES YES YES, MO is definitely jealous of her...just like she was jealous of Hillary...that's why BO had to pick Biden; MO wouldn't let him pick Hillary. Sarah Palin will walk John McCain right into the Oval Office..thank God.

Bull2, if you think Michelle Obama got into school on affirmative action, you need to tune into c--span and watch her speak. She is highly intelligent, articulate, and aware of the real issues. Why would she be jealouse of Palin, a former beauty pageant contestant? By the way,if you read your research, white women are more likely to benefit from affirmative action.

Tvlgds has hit the nail on the head with his comment. If people were more interested in doing something - anything - for this country rather just being content to vote for whomever Oprah tells them to vote for, we would be in much better shape as a nation. I heard much of this during the Democratic Convention among delegates and the average Joe/Jane on the street - "Now that Obama is running for president, I can be proud of my country again" or "now it's time for everybody to pitch in to help Obama win to help our country." My question for this mindset is why haven't you done anything before to help your country?

I don't think jealousy is the emotion MO feels toward Governor Palin. I believe it is much a much darker and uglier "feeling" and I dare not speak its name in this thread.
