I love hamburgers...any & all. I agree with the ole Frontier burgers...they were the best. As for now, I like Uncle Barney's, Whataburger, Whopper Burger (not many left) & Armadillo's.

everybody quickly forgot Little Hipps on Main when it closed. The old manager ,Tim opened up Timbo's On Broadway and Pearl Pkwy . and has the same menu that was at Little Hipps , including the shypoke eggs . Their burgers (Yellow Submarine,Idiot's Delight ,etc.)are still the best in town for me.

I think Chris Madrids porkys delight is the best for me. Then longhorn cafe, I just love their mayo I always ask for extra. Then Floyds on Goliad Rd. They have really awsome greasy burgers. If it isnt greasy it isnt good. They have good shakes also!!!!

Man gotta give my vote to Chunky's! I used to eat there when I was working for the PD and expecting my 2nd baby before we moved away from SA in 2006. After all Adam featured it on his Man Vs. Food show on Discovery Channel. What's not to like about the deals they have and the awesome burgers they serve?

Sills was reincarnated on Hwy 87 for a year or more. The owners were related to the original owners and hungryagain is right they were nice people. Speaking of nice people. Does anyone remember when Carlos Madrid used to greet you at the door? Talk aout nice people. Carlos would remember your name every time. Plus, I went away to college for four years and went back to Madrids. Carlos not only rememberd who I was but where I had gone to colleg and what I was majoring. Carlos rocked.

"Amil Poig - 3/9/2010 8:08 PM 0 Votes Report User This is how the rich eat. Sandwiches of meat, while the poor manage to do with beans and corn bread. The kings wolf down their majestic meals of ground meat and sliced pickles and laugh at the poverty peons buying uh, ground meat and Wisconsin cheese in the store using food stamps. And do not forget the beer, only the kings get to drink beer."-----------------If your poor go to school, get a better job and then you'll enoy the fruits of your labor...A good juicy burger
