If I lost a baby to SIDS (I co-sleep) that would not make me not co-sleep again. However, it seems to me there might be more to this story. Two babies dying seems--a pretty statistically unlikely accident. However, I am not going to say because I do not have all the facts. Truth is, it is not dangerous to co-sleep IF you practice it safely. Then again, babies die in cribs all the time too and no one bats an eye or goes to jail for it. I don't know what the government's issue is with bed sharing, but I am so sick of them trying to enforce behavior in the bedroom!

CPS does NOT condone bed sharing and co-sleeping. In fact, they provide tons of information and counsel parents of newborns about the dangers of co-sleeping and bed sharing. She was involved with the department and there is no way anyone there would tell anyone to put their child in the bed with them. In the bedroom, in a crib, yes...never in the same bed.

This sounds very fishy. She has killed 2 babies in this manner. This may be a way of getting rid of her kids and not getting charged with murder like Casey Anthony.

Is the husband going to jail too? he is also reposnable. my two sons slept with until they were 4&3 and my husband helped me to take care of them. may be this couple were drunk.

Is this woman smiling in her mugshot? How can you smile when you've lost not one but TWO babies due to your carelessness. They make baby cribs for a reason. While this may truly have been a bizarre case of history repeating itself, I want to know why accidents carry stronger sentences than all about abuse?

I bet they were doing the humpty hump with the kid in the bed lying there or at the edge. Not just sleeping.
