POLL: Do you approve of gift registries for high school graduation?

SAN ANTONIO –High school graduates are now using online registries to help friends and families help pick out graduation gifts. Some online registries are even encouraging students to include a link on their graduation invitations. USA Today reports that some students are also using Pintrest to compile gift lists.

While some find this helpful, others find it inappropriate. Etiquette expert Cindy Post Senning says gift registries should be limited to weddings and showers.

I have to agree, I used MyRegistry as a gift list before I left for college last year and it was one of the best decisions I made for planning to move away for school. Plus it was more personal for my family and friends to be involved in dorm room shopping than giving a check.

Gotta say nope to the registry. Very presumptuous of the hs grad and family. If you want to give a gift, money and pen sets are great. Kids are way too entitled these days. They don't need all the junk. If the parents want to get them all the bells and whistles for college, that's their job.

ha ha. what a joke. where do all these gift registry ideas come from? rich folks? hey, bottom line. if your kid did great. reward them, give a high five and a hug as you send them off in the world.

because that's just what kids need these days...more of an "I WANT" attitude and more crap! Put the money towards something useful like their tuition!
