Larry Kenon was, and always has been, one of my favorite SPURS.

The Spurs were cheated by the Refs/League during the series with the the Washington Bullets.The blatan acts by the refs on the spurs turned me off pro basketball for 20 years in disgust. The Spurs played well but every imaginary foul was called on them. 'Special K' and team mates were great,just not a league favorite. I met 'Special K' and Mitchell about 20 years ago, very humble,very polite gentlemen and spoke highly of the fans and the city.

Larry Kenon might have the creditianls but his mouth and personality is what keeps him for deserving to be on this list. He always ignored the fans nad his mouth was one of the reasons the Bullets beat the Spurs in the Conderence Finals when they played them. The Spurs where up 3-1, Elvin Hayes was just going thru the motions and nor doing much. But leave it to Larry Kenon mouthing off that he was the best all around forward in the NBA and that woke up the Big E. In game seven of the series he dominated Kenon and stuffed him twice in the the minute or so of the game. I talked to Elvin years later at the All-Star game in Houston and asked him about Kenon's comments and he said "Yeah I had to show him who was the "Best All-Around Forward in the NBA. I remember talking to Louie Dampier he said he keep telling Larry to keep his mouth shut till the series was over but he would not listen. And like the general from Japan after Pearl Harbor said "I fear we have awoken a sleeping giant". Also I remember the Spurs used to have the fans vote for their favorite player every year and they had to quit doing becuase Larry was always geting mad because he never could win. The way I remember him treating the fans it was no surprise. And to this day he is still very anti-social.

In the early days we did not have many true stars by James 'Captian Late' Silas was always dependable and unforgetable, at least up until he was forgotten on Don Daily's top 20 spurs.

Dennis Rodman, lol. I remember when his Pink Dually withe the 100k stereo system got stolen here. They found the frame eventually. Or when he jetted before our playoff game against the Lakers to be with Madonna. Or when David Robinson went after him in the locker room. You know you're a pain when you make David snap!

Although his numbers may look good, Dennis Rodman was slime. He was more than a "distraction" to every team he played for.
