SAN ANTONIO - The Steele Knights fell in the Texas state championship game Saturday to Spring Dekaney. After the game we saw one of the strangest things we've ever seen covering sports. People on the field were injured by a runaway golf cart.
A stadium worker was picking up end zone pylons when one of them got jammed against the golf cart gas pedal. The driverless cart took off across the middle of the field and hit a group of about six people, including Spring Decaney head coach Willie Amendola and Express-News reporter Lorne Chan.
Chan joined us in the Sports Sunday studio to talk about the strange incident in this week's IPAC Ram Tailgate Talk.
