Ditch ten friends and get a free burger.
Ditch ten friends and get a free burger.

Burger King has come up with another hilarious marketing scheme: Remove ten Facebook friends, get a free Whopper. Once you ditch a friend, he gets a notice that he’s been sacrificed for a free Whopper. So far, 55,739 friends have been sacrificed.

This ranks up there with the flame-broiled cologne and Whopper Virgins.

Once you sacrifice a friend, they show up on your Facebook feed. The "sacrifices" show up in your activity feed. So it'll say, "CyberBob sacrificed Jerrod for a free Whopper."

The promotion is limited to one coupon per Facebook account. More at whoppersacrifice.com.

My friends know that i'd sacrifice them for a good burger. They're not from Texas, so they don't know how good What-a-burger is. If what-a-burger was doing this promotion, i would cancel my account on facebook AND myspace, and i would delete all the numbers on my cell phone.

Guess the "Burger Virgins" couldn't convince the world the "King" is King of Burgers so they came up with this lame-o marketing scheme. I would never sacrifice any of my friends for a stupid burger because a Trip to the Bathroom is not worth the life time of memories I would make with REAL FRIENDS!!

I'd NEVER sacrifice Jerrod for a Whopper... Now, I'd dump Cyber's butt for a Quarter Pounder so fast there'd be sesame seeds at his feet... DOH!!

I'm still afraid of their "flame broiled meat" cologne!
