great story and kudos to the student body and everyone involved with this story...FDNY1983 yeah it may be a sign of change to come but there will always be those types of worthless POS's in our communitys...its just a fact of life.....there will always be morons having offspring.

Hoping this is a sign that child-peer cruelty and bullying will come to an end. Kudos to these kids for being so nice!!!

It is so awesome to see the Student Body go out and do this for someone. This probally means the world to this young man and it's great to see that a level of humanity exsists still for these young adults.

It's so very heartwarming to see this story where the kids didn't make fun of him or bully him, but made him their Prom King. My hat's off to a bunch of great young adults who made a very generous and loving decision. Bravo, Drew!! Bravo Alamo Heights Student Body!!

Awsome!!! Goes a long way to restore my faith in humanity. Reminds me of my favorite TV commercial......the Down's Syndrome girl elected as prom queen. I've been around a number of DS individuals in my life, as well as having a family member with DS, so this is so wonderful and heartwarming!!! Acceptance of a condition that makes another extremely different, and with so MANY levels of difference. You want to experience true, unconditional love, you'll find that with most DS individuals, as well as hopefully begin to understand their extreme intelligence, albeit in maybe only one or two directions....but it's there. I actually had a long discussion about this subject with my husband this past weekend...for a reason I can't really recall at this moment. I don't remember what brought it up.....something totally simple, probably. Anyway, LOVE this story, Love this school and the students that made this possible with their compassion, understanding, etc. The guys that lost the title seem to have rooted for this young man, too. That says it all!!!!!
