If these people like MADD, Susan Reed , and whomever, are so hyped up about sending people to jail and such. Why don't we take off commercials that promote the drinking of alcohol the way it was done for cigarette commercials. And when events like fiesta come around....limit the number of alcohol booths. Case in point....last fiesta I went to the market square to enjoy the bands. I was thirsty for a drink of water-yes a drink of water-these type of booths were not very prominate, but, the alcohol booths were. Why is that? One reason...alcohol makes MONEY! So all those do gooders who make themselves feel that they have done society a wealth of accomplishments and like to pat themselves on the back by sending everyone to jail, look at all the circumstances surrounding this issue. Sending someone to jail is not always the solution! Try unpromoting alcohol, both on the national level and the local level.

I love how you WOAI interviews the defense attorney Nico Lahood whos a criminal himself. Of course he's going to say sentencing people to prison after a 3rd DWI is a cloudy issue. Come election time he continues to try and run for DA and come out strong against crime, and the rest of the time he defends these scumbags. Why don't you confront these judges in the parking lot and embarass them. These defense attorneys are slipping money into these judges election funds come reelection time, so the judges wink and give these people a slap on the hand. The real victims are the people that get injured or killed by these drunks that don't care about the law! I hope it never happens to my family. Paybacks a B**ch!

If susan reed can put more energy into getting these pediphiles off the streets, and these homless people running around downtown san antonio as she does in DWI's how much could consideratly go down!Honestly how you think about these rapist and drug dealers that come back out into society and do the same thing.Crime is crime drug dealing to rapes ,thiefs!Dwis is where the county of bexar gets it money to pay for the police and judges. If you couldnt realize that buy now your a dummy!

Oh now c'mon, if we crack down on drunk driving, most of San Antonio won't be able to take their kids to school in the morning.

Seems our city has questions on how they get by with all this!!! Well the law here is toooooo leanate. People get off to easy and they need to take their drivers license away. Take their car away too. Our jails are full to the max. Reed needs to get toughter, much tougher. They committe they pay crime. No questions asked!!

These numbers may not reflect probation that is granted after the initial sentencing. Judge Roman let the drunk driver that hit me and my family go after he served just six months of her initial 8-year sentence. She felt sorry for him and allowed him to move to another state to raise his soon; who happens to be about the same age as mine; who he left disabled. 5 years later and we still deal with medical issues on a daily basis and future surgeries. If Roman is one of the strict, this city is screwed quite frankly. My condolences and prayers for all who suffer because of this senseless problem and because of the senseless people who let them get away with it.
