SAN ANTONIO - Homeowners ripped off by roofers now have somewhere to turn for help. A local roofers association is stepping in to lend a hand after watching a News 4 Trouble Shooters investigation.

David Green was left with unfinished work and an empty wallet after contracting with a company called America's Roofing. They were supposed to put in a new roof, but never did. Green wasn't the only one, and and now the the owner of that company has been arrested.

After seeing our investigation the San Antonio Local Roofers Association is putting a new roof on green's home without charging green a penny.

"Well we heard that he gave money for a roof, and he didn't get the roof done, so we decided as an organization to come over here and put a new roof on his house, says Nicholas Sanson with SA Local Roofers Association.

The association says it has a waiting list of other homeowners that paid upfront for a roofing job that was never finished.
