Mr. Collister, keep up your excellent job of investigative reporting. CPS should follow the same ethics laws that the City follows at the minimum. Why would upper management ever need to have their meals purchased by a vendor? They should meet at a time that does not involve meals in a CPS or City meeting room with the meeting open to the public. No secret dealings.

Just another move to insure that the corruption in city government from our mayor all the way down to the code officers is allowed to flourish. Best representation MONEY CAN BUY!! If I take him out for a $2000.00 dinner, do I get my rates reduced??

"Beneby was hired to improve the company's transparency in 2010 after a controversy erupted over the utility’s failure to disclose the true cost of expansion at the South Texas Nuclear project" Wow! Way to increase the company transarency. I know! Let's give him a big bonus for a job well done.

We understand the fine difference @wonkles, between being a ratepayer and a taxpayer. However, when it comes to accountability, they are fish from the same school, and they’re starting to smell badly. CPS needs to be investigated by the Public Utility Commission of Texas. Perhaps a petition with a few tens of thousands of signatures would get their attention? It’s not like we had another utility to use.
